The first Congreso Bacardi de la Salsa was held in Paris France under the name of Congreso Mundial de la Salsa on June 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2001 at the Espace Maison Blanche. There was an after-party at the Montecristo Cafe on the last day.
