The Latin Jazz Ensemble performing at the Congreso Mundial de la Salsa 1999 in NYC.

The latin Jazz Ensemble amazed and delighted a full house of dancers and enthusiasts at the World Salsa Congress at Copacabana nightclub on May 17, 1999. They unleased to the world Mam-Fu, an inovative dance style which is a mixture of "crisp" Martial Arts moves and the sensuallity of the Mambo. The group that performed was composed of Jimmy Anton, Manny Siverio, Winsome Lee, and another woman whose name I do not know. The routine, danced to Tito Puentes Asia Mood, was gracefull and elegant. The men faux-fought with sticks and the women danced with fans and ribbons. It was beautiful and very warmly received by the crowd.

The place was so packed with people that I could only shoot over the heads of the people in front of me. Please excuse the quality of the photos.
