DJ Elvira's Birthday Party at Nells Nightclub on May 24, 2000.

DJ Elvira celebrated her birthday with her friends and fans at Nells nightclub on May 24, 2000. Dance instructor, performer, choreographer, and DJ Jimmy Anton of and producer and DJ Ron McGuggins picked up the slack so DJ Elvira could dance and party. Everybody gave Elvira a birthday dance. Right before the birthday dance Ron told me to go find Elvira. She was in the DJ booth holding her knee in pain. There was a bump on it half the size of a golf ball. The conversation moved quickly to whether she should go to the hospital or she should do the birthday dance. As the song started the choice was made. The next day Elvira flew out to the Congreso Bacardi de la Salsa in Los Angeles, California. By the time I next saw her a few days later her knee was black and blue but she was dancing on it and said it was fine.
