Jose Alberto "El Canario"
and Caribbean Soul
at the China Club in NYC on 7/24/01

Jose Alberto "El Canario" played at the China Club in New York City on July 24, 2001. Also, there was a dance performance by the Caribbean Soul. New York's own DJ Elvira was spinning Pure Salsa till late in the morning. The party was produced by Karismas Events and Cine-Mas Productions and is scheduled to be repeated every Tueday night. Some of New York's best Mambo and Salsa dancers were in attendance and were dancing-up-a-storm. Also in the house was the Salsabor Dance Company from Paris France including its director Cliford Jasmin and the enchanting Velérie Michelson along with dj Iscaac (justsalsa.com Paris Editor), Jack "el oso" and the lovely Sheirly, Gwenola "la chiquitina" y Olivier "el buen mozo", and my favorite Agnes. Cliford's mom was also present and made it obvious to all just where Cliford got his swing.
